I have been in general practice since 1981 after completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of NSW in 1977.

Most of my career has been spent in Canberra, although I was brought up in Melbourne and Sydney. I owned a practice – the Hall Medical Centre, based in a small historic village on the outskirts of Canberra, we then made the move to Victoria and I started at Ti-Tree Family Doctors in early 2011. I also provide sedation/anaesthetic services to a variety of gastroenterology practices in Frankston, Melbourne and Canberra.

I have been happily married to Alannah for 35 years and have 3 children, Nick, Sally and Jane. I also enjoy piano playing, tennis, cycling, kayaking and four wheel driving in Central Australia.
